Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Location: Academy Air – Hazelwood, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Reports To: Warehouse Manager


Job Summary

Academy Air is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to support our HVAC operations. This role involves receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing HVAC equipment, parts, and materials. The ideal candidate will help maintain inventory accuracy, ensure timely deliveries, and contribute to a clean and efficient warehouse environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and materials
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare parts and equipment for delivery or pickup
  • Organize and label stock in designated storage areas
  • Load and unload company vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually
  • Assist with warranty returns and restocking unused equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and parts is a plus
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Familiarity with basic computer and inventory systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to regularly bend, twist, kneel, climb ladders, and lift

Working Conditions

  • Primarily warehouse-based with some outdoor exposure
  • Fast-paced, physical work environment
  • May require early hours, overtime, or weekend shifts during peak seasons
